DECLARATION

Katameya Heights Golf and Tennis Resort, located in New Cairo City, hereinafter referred to as Katameya Heights, hereby declares that these are the Rules & Regulations under which the operation of Katameya Heights shall be governed, and these Rules & Regulations are now in full force and effect, subject to any modification, amendment, change or supplement hereto which may be hereafter adopted. These Rules & Regulations may be changed from time to time by Katameya Heights, at its sole and absolute discretion.

 

APPLICATION FOR FACILITY USE

Each applicant for use of Katameya Heights’ facilities shall complete and submit an agreement and all documents needed. Katameya Heights will review each application before admittance is granted. Eligibility will be based on an individual being of good standing in the community and possessing such other qualifications as Katameya Heights may from time to time prescribe. When an applicant is granted to become a member, all dues should be paid, before admission is granted. Payment can be done either in cash or by check made out to “Katameya for Real Estate”.

 

POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

Katameya Heights is dedicated to the enjoyment of golf, tennis and other resort activities by all facility users. To ensure a positive experience, Katameya Heights has established a few policies and procedures to clarify each individual’s responsibilities and conduct while at the resort.

 

GUEST POLICY

Guests may be permitted only when accompanied by an adult member (over 16 years), subject to availability, to use facilities upon paying applicable fees. Management reserves the right to limit or refuse guests at its discretion. The member will be responsible for the behavior of the guests during their presence at Katameya Heights. A maximum of four guests are allowed during the High-Season weekends.

 

FAMILY POLICY

In case the sons/daughters included in the membership are 21 years of age as of 1st January they will be considered as an adult member.
Plan “A” and “C”: Pay the individual fees. When sons/daughters included in plan “A” and “C” get married they will have to apply for a new separate membership subject to vailability and approval. Plan “A” sons/daughters who get married will be entitled to a 50% discount on the initial fees which will be applicable at that time for their new family memberships under the condition of being a member for a minimum of 2 consecutive years.
Plan “B”: Pay the individual fees with a 50% discount. When sons/daughters included in plan “B” get married they will have to apply for a new separate membership subject to availability and approval and will be entitled to a 50% discount on the initial fees which will be applicable at that time for their new family memberships.

In case of change in the membership status, the member concerned has to apply for a new membership.

 

GENERAL INFORMATION

All fees, plans, classifications and Rules & Regulations may be suitably adjusted or changed with prior notice. i.e. operational hours. Katameya Heights reserves the right to establish or revoke any type of fee plans, programs, or facilities.

 

FACILITY CARDS Katameya Heights’ identification card will be issued. Facility Identification cards are not transferable and therefore, may not to be used by anyone other than the person to whom it is issued. Presentation of the card is required prior to use of the facility or payment for service. Katameya Heights reserves the right to check your membership cards at anytime during your stay at the club. In the event of a lost or stolen card, the membership office must be notified immediately. The individual must pay a charge per replacement card.

 

CHANGE IN PERSONAL DATA

Changes in personal data are handled by the Membership Office.
Notification is to be made immediately in writing to this office. If not, all correspondences will be considered as delivered.

GENERAL RULES Under no circumstances nannies are not allowed on the premises.
Under no circumstances will pets be permitted in the facilities or at the golf course at any time.
Katameya Heights will not be responsible for the loss, stolen or damage to property of members & guests.
No subscriptions, paper, or other petitions (unless related to the business of Katameya Heights) shall be posted or circulated on the premises, nor shall subscriptions be solicited, except for Katameya Heights purposes, and only with the prior approval of the management.
Every facility user shall be held personally responsible for any property damage and/or injury, caused by him/her, and his/her guests, while at Katameya Heights. Such individuals shall pay for all costs thereof when a bill is presented.
Any person who, in any manner makes use of or accepts the use of any apparatus, appliance, facility, privilege, or service whatsoever owned, leased or operated by Katameya Heights, or engages in any organized, arranged, or sponsored activity by Katameya Heights, either on or off the premises, shall do so at his/her own risk, and shall hold Katameya Heights, its operators, officers, employees, representatives and agents harmless from any and all loss, cost, claim, injury, damage or liability sustained or incurred by him/her, resulting there from and/or resulting from any act or omission of any officers, employees, representatives or agents of Katameya Heights.
Should any party bound by these Rules & Regulations bring suit against Katameya Heights for any claim or matter, and fail to obtain judgment therein against Katameya Heights, said party shall be liable to Katameya Heights for all costs and expenses incurred by it in the defense of such suit (including attorney’s fees through all appeal proceedings). The same result holds true if Katameya Heights brings suit against any facility user or party for any cause, such as non-payment of dues, and Katameya Heights wins the suit.
Nothing shall be posted on the general bulletin board except by the management.
No one is allowed to bring any food or beverage items into the premises.
For any engine and vehicles usage on the premises, drivers should be licensed.
Roller blades, skateboards, Bicycles, Scooters…etc are prohibited on the premises.
The speed limit through the entire resort is 30km/h.

FEES

All individuals must pay for personal services on an “as-used” basis. All memberships Golf, Tennis packages can be bought for the period of the membership. Fees can be calculated on pro-rated basis, starting from the month of July of the minimum fees will be 50% of the annual fees.
Annual fees must be paid maximum by the end of January, after this timing a penalty fees have to be paid.
TERMS All memberships, packages and lockers are monthly prorated and should end December 31st, starting from the month of July of the minimum fees will be 50% of the annual fees.
Pro-rated memberships will only apply to new comers.
Packages, lockers, pre –paid coupons and vouchers to be used only for the same year issued and not transferable.

 

SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION OF PRIVILEGES

Katameya Heights may terminate the facilities’ use privilege of any individual upon giving such person a written notice of termination if, in the sole judgment of Katameya Heights, such individual:

  • Failed to meet eligibility.
  • Submitted false information on the application for facility use.
  • Allowed his/her identification card to be used by another individual.
  • Failed to pay fees and account balances when due.
  • Failed to abide by the Rules & Regulations set forth.
  • Notwithstanding any such termination of privileges, such individual shall remain liable for any unpaid fees, dues and/or account balances, and such person shall not be entitled to a refund of any fee or dues previously paid.

 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Facility dues and fees as set forth therein give individuals no ownership rights or interests in the facilities, other than the specific right to use the facilities contemplated by the type of fee payment. The landowner and operator hereby limit their liability, under any circumstances and conditions that currently exist or may in the future exist. No oral representations shall be relied upon. The landowner and operator s obligations are limited to those explicitly set forth in writing. No individual’s use of Katameya Heights is exclusive, and is subject to use by all other facility users of Katameya Heights.

 

ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION

It is our policy at Katameya Heights that the responsibility for the conduct of each facility user, his family and guests, in all matters including the consumption of alcohol beverages on Katameya Heights’ property, lies with the individual.
Management has been authorized to instruct each Katameya Heights employee who serves alcoholic beverages, to refuse to serve them to any person who is under 21 years of age or who appears to have consumed alcohol to a point of creating a potential inconvenience or danger to himself or others or against the government regulations.
Any individuals who feel that they have been offended by a refusal of alcohol by an employee, is asked not to take issue with the employee but to place a grievance in writing to the General Manager.

SUSPENSION & TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIPS


Plan “A”

Katameya Heights offers the possibility of suspending the Plan ”A” annual membership fee, for those who will be leaving the country for a year or more. A written notice should be submitted to the administration department before the end of January. Might you fail to do so; full membership fees will be charged.
The annual suspension fee is 25%, of actual annual fee.
All membership cards should be returned to the administration office.
The member must show proof of leaving the country.
The leave of absence fee will hold the membership until the return of the member.

In case the member returns and would like to use the club’s facilities before the end of the year, they will pay;
- The guest fees.
Or
- The remaining annual fee due.

 

Plan “C”

Might the company wish to freeze a membership (maximum one membership per package) for a year or more. A written notice should be submitted to the administration department before 20th January. Might you fail to do so, full membership fees will be charged.

For plan “A” & “C” members failing to renew their memberships on time regardless of not using the club, the following procedures will be followed:
1.Members not renewing their memberships for one full year will be charged 10% in addition to the applicable fees upon renewal.
2.Members not renewing their memberships for 2 consecutive years will be charged 20% for the first year & 10% for the second year in addition to the applicable fees upon renewal.
3.Plan “A” & “C” members who failed to renew their memberships for more than 2 consecutive years, their memberships will be terminated.

Golf RULES & REGULATIONS Reservation Policy (Championship & Nine Hole Course) 

Only members will be allowed to reserve Tee Times on weekends and public holidays from 7.00 a.m. to 12:00 noon Guests of members will only be allowed to reserve Tee Times after 12:00 noon Reservation will be open by telephone for members five days in advance. Members are not permitted to use false names in reservations. Non members attempting to play before 12:00 noon will be stopped and will lose the reserved Tee Time. Reservations made by members for weekends and public holidays that include non-members will only be accepted three days in advance and will only be for Tee Times after 12:00 noon. Informing the Pro Shop of canceled tee-off bookings is not only a courtesy but also a requirement. Repeat offenders will be penalized financially or have their booking privileges suspended.

 

GENERAL Golfers without an official handicap index will only be allowed access to the Championship Course when space is available and at off peak times (excluding weekends and public holidays). The management reserves the right to direct any non-handicap holding golfer to the Nine-Hole Course.
Juniors golfer with an official handicap index may play both the Nine-Hole course and the Championship course.
Juniors without an official handicap index may play the Nine-Hole course only with the supervision of an adult member.

Katameya Heights is a Four Ball course on weekends. Singles and twosomes will be paired together to make threesomes or foursomes on weekends and public holidays. Pro Shop/Starters and Golf Professionals have the authority to enforce this rule.

 
All players must have their own set of clubs and golf bag while playing.
Players may not tee-off Hole #10.      

Golfing related fees must be paid in the pro shop before starting your round.

Golfers must register themselves and their guests in the Pro Shop upon arrival at the course. This allows the Pro Shop to:


Issue receipts for green fees, carts, range balls, etc.
Assist with arrangements for games. Have the clubs and carts (or caddies) ready to go
Confirm tee-off times

Before starting, golfers must check in with the Starter to confirm order of play and present their green fee receipt.
Golfing spectators are not encouraged at Katameya Heights and we require all players to respect this.

 

GOLF CARTS should be:

 

Signed out before play.
Limited to two passengers.
Driven on cart paths where provided, especially at the teeing areas and green areas.
Golf Carts are prohibited from stony aggregate and sandy waste areas.
Driving and renting only by persons 18 years of age and older with a valid license.

 


Any damage or injury resulting from operation of a golf cart must be reported to the Pro Shop immediately.
All individuals drive carts at their own risk and are responsible for the costs of repairs for any damage.

 

DRIVING RANGE

Only hit from designated area i.e. hit only from the mats at the top end of the range and the Academy range as well.
Players are allowed to hit from the designated marked area of the grass at the academy end of the range only.
The driving range is not a play ground area for children adults must respect this and ensure that their children especially young children under 8 years old are not running around the driving range at any time.
An adult must accompany children under 8 years old to ensure their safety.
Katameya Heights reserves the right to suspend or revoke privileges for breaking any of these rules.

DRESS CODE

What people wear on the course and driving range has a direct bearing on Katameya Heights’ reputation and public image. Because Katameya Heights is dedicated to the highest standards and traditions of the game, it is important that individuals dress in appropriate golfing attire.


The following attire is acceptable

Golf slacks, golf tailored shorts, collared and /or turtle nick T-shirts, Roll Neck shirts, Golf shoes and/or training shoes. Soft spikes are mandatory.

 

The following attire is not acceptable

Denim jeans swimming/jogging shorts, flip/flop/sandal shoes, collarless t-shirts, training/tracksuit pants, football/rugby shirts. The club notice board and website hold current information regarding dress regulations. The decision of the club employee is final in the dispute of whether a garment is suitable or not.

 

RULES OF PLAY AND ETIQUETTE

USGA and Royal & Ancient Rules of Golf are always in effect except in the cases where modified by local rules. Katameya Heights is committed to ensuring a reasonable pace of play for all members. If a match fails to keep its pace on the course and loses more than a clear hole on the players ahead, it must allow the match following to play through. In severe cases of slow play, a match may be required to pick up their golf balls and advance to an open hole, if the match concerned does not comply with the directions from the Marshall they may be removed from the course.
It is required that the course marshal’s instructions be followed at all times. A round should be completed in 4 hours or less, if play is unobstructed.
No outside caddies are permitted.
Each player is requested to repair ball marks, replace divots and rake sand traps to ensure excellent conditions for all golfers.

HEALTH CLUB & SWIMMING POOL RULES & REGULATIONS

During the high season and due to extreme crowding of the main swimming pool area, we may be forced to restrict the use of the chaise-lounges to adults only.
Smoking is prohibited in the Spa, Fitness Gym or Changing Rooms.
It is expected that facility users will dress in a fashion befitting the surroundings and atmosphere of Katameya Heights. It is also expected that members will advise their guests of dress requirements, no full body suits allowed in all swimming pools.
Reservations for massage are necessary and may be scheduled by phone or in person up to (2) days in advance at the Fitness Center reception desk. Informing the Fitness Center of canceled bookings is not only a courtesy but also a requirement. Repeat offenders will have their booking privileges suspended.
All bookings must be paid for on an as used basis.
The swimming pool may be used only during operation hours.
No food, alcohol are allowed in the Spa, Fitness Gym or Changing Rooms
Proper swimming attire is required in the Spa and swimming pool.
To ensure personal safety, juniors below the age of 12 are not permitted in the Gym and juniors below the age of 18 are not permitted in the Spa.
Children below the age of 14 are permitted in the clubhouse swimming pool area only under the direct supervision of an adult (21 years old and above).
For hygiene purpose, shower before entering the Pool and Spa.
No diving.
No bottles, glass or sharp objects allowed in Pool and Spa areas.
No running, pushing or boisterous plays.
Respect the safety requests of your attendant at all times.
Changing clothes is only permitted in the changing rooms.
The adult’s area at the clubhouse swimming pool is restricted to 21 years old and above.

CHILDREN’S CLUB RULES & REGULATIONS

Kid’s guests may be permitted only when accompanied by an adult member over 21 years.
Games and toys to be used in the playrooms.
Babies must wear swim diapers in the pool.
Roller blades, skateboards, Bicycles, Scooters…etc are prohibited on the premises.
Respect the safety requests made by the staff at all times.

CHILDREN’S CLUB RULES & REGULATIONS

Kid’s guests may be permitted only when accompanied by an adult member over 21 years.
Games and toys to be used in the playrooms.
Babies must wear swim diapers in the pool.
Roller blades, skateboards, Bicycles, Scooters…etc are prohibited on the premises.
Respect the safety requests made by the staff at all times.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE OUTLET RULES & REGUALTIONS 

No food or beverage is allowed to be brought into the premises from outside.
Members or guests below the age of 21 are not permitted to use the bars in the club.
No alcoholic drinks will be served any person who is under 21 years of age or who appears to have consumed alcohol to a point of creating a potential inconvenience or danger to himself or others.
Function contracts / forms should be signed by clients prior to execution of the event for acceptance of terms and conditions agreed upon.
Restaurant reservations or bookings will be kept only for 45 minutes. Canceling bookings is not only a courtesy but also a requirement. Repeated offenders will have their booking privilege suspended.
Breeze restaurant is restricted to 16 years old and above after 10.00 PM.
Restaurants and bars bills should be settled before leaving the outlet.
City ledger privilege is available only through the membership department.
